Otherwise: Diana Crane’s _Fashion and Its Social Agendas_ (UChicago Press) and Jane Collins’ _Threads: Gender, Labor, and Power in the Global Apparel Industry_ (also UChicago Press, probably now old enough to be considered a classic in anthropology) are the best places to start. Both are really smart and really well researched.
I tried teaching Tansy Hoskins’ _The Anti-Capitalist Book of Fashion_ (Pluto Press) when it came out in 2013(?), but despite the cool title, the editing of that book was pretty sloppy.
For online MOOCs I stick to articles and chapters while recommending books as further reading. If you email me, I will get you some of the shorter stuff.
