Nave Launch, Roma Norte, CDMX

Recurated, restaged, ready-made
representation.

Is interaction expected in
contemporary art?

Manifested, replicated, revelatory,
delusion.

Was pre-industrialized nature similarly
spiritual?

Geonarratives of afilial―
Touristic everymen in―
Religio-historic geography as is.

Nothing says presumed fecundity like
presumed fecundity.

Transition to architectural antidotes, to designer
fixes:

KusKus teak antiques, Venetian lanterns, Orientalized
bay windows.

Each exotic, controlled, other, at home away from home. Her work is a
pilgrimage.

Travel while reclining, snow splashing. Her work is a
pilgrimage:

Of World’s Fairs, Tiffany interiors.
Of tastemaking and hegemony.

*Everything here also appeared in the Minneapolis Art Historians Colloquium of 2016 (in my head or in someone’s talk)
